The 2018 Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour's La Bohème concluded at the end of April after a full season of packed performances! With the backdrop of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, and under the clear light of the moon, the stage transformed into the streets of Paris in the late 1960s. Market sellers, children, and bohemians all enlivened the scene of Christmas Eve, with acrobats and circus performers adding extra colour and movement.
Each principal cast performed with evenly-matched grace, beauty, and style. The fireworks at the end of Acts 1 and 2 enhanced the heights of emotion for the cast and audience alike!
Ruth and her fellow performers were excited to be involved in this standout production, and are grateful to the crew and producers for making the experience so enjoyable.
